We will build the confidence of your spokespeople from the outset.

Today’s media landscape is complex. Our philosophy is simple.

We will build the confidence of your spokespeople from the outset, ensuring they gain the knowledge, insight and first-hand experience they need to take on the media, take control, and win.

We will demystify the media, reveal how journalists think and work, expose their tricks and traps and help your spokespeople not only avoid them, but counter them. They will learn how to create opportunities to deliver positive messages, even in the face of hostile questions.

Our preparation is second to none. Unlike many media training companies, we prepare written interview scenarios tailored to the needs of every delegate. We believe the more we put into it, the more your people will benefit and the greater your return on investment will be.

Our training will be led by our Managing Director, an experienced journalist and senior PR professional who will ensure delegates see the complete picture – how well they handled the interview and met the journalist’s needs and the degree to which your messages were delivered to meet your organisation’s needs.

Our journalist trainers are award-winning reporters and broadcasters all with at least 15 years’ top-flight experience on national newspapers, radio and TV news. Typically, they’ll be working with you one day and reporting or presenting the news the next. We don’t work with career trainers or former journalists who presented the news in the 1980s, as we don’t think that represents value for money.

Our PR trainers are strategic thinkers who have held senior roles for local authorities, the emergency services, FTSE 100 companies, leading independent PR agencies and major global consultancies. And because we work with so many experienced people, we can match the training team to your specific requirements, depending on the challenges you’re facing or the interview you’re looking to prepare for.

Our advice is based on our own sharp-end experience as journalists, company spokespeople, PR professionals and crisis communications experts.

Our feedback and coaching is honest, objective and encouraging, and will build delegates’ confidence from the outset. We focus on all aspects of their performance, from message delivery to tone of voice and body language.

Our equipment is all broadcast-quality and our technicians are the best in the business – they specialise in media training and make sure that practice interviews feel just like the real thing. We also have the latest portable kit enabling us to run realistic interviews anywhere in the world – including wireless hand-held and lapel microphones and lightweight HD cameras.

Our materials are market-leading, with delegates all receiving a copy of our 24-page interview and/or presentation skills guide, a set of A6 reminder cards and their interviews on flash drives.

Our training is highly engaging, hands-on and enjoyable. We give people the practical skills they need to give great interviews. They will be able to deliver key messages and protect or enhance your organisation’s reputation in any situation.

Our invitation for any delegate we have trained to contact us when asked to give an interview for real is open-ended, with no time restrictions. We will help with key messages and role-play interviews over the telephone to make sure your spokespeople are as well prepared as possible.
